Over the past year, I have been working on a little font, which I called Saikopat . The idea was to make a very simple, clean, but readable font in the same style as used in comic books and on internet web-comics. What I noticed about those fonts, was how extremely clean and well traced they looked like. As it works very well in comic books and on the web, I wasn’t entirely happy with them – they weren’t edgy and rough enough, so the idea of creating a simple, readable font that looked really handwritten was born.
Saikopat currently supports 640 characters of Extended Latin & Extended Cyrillic character set, it also supports Greek and Czech languages. In the next update I will be fixing some of the tracing and adding a support for Hebrew and more symbols. My plan is to make the Saikopat font one of the most supported cross lingual fonts made by man available.
You can download the font from the Envato marketplace – GraphicRiver.net for only 6 dollars US.
